My fascination with medicine began in 1998 when I began a course in life sciences and health studies at Stockport College of Further and Higher Education. On successful completion I accepted a place at Manchester University to continue my studies in Human Physiology. After suffering a painful knee injury a friend suggested acupuncture. During my 1st appointment the treatment gave immediate pain relief and increased mobility. After further treatments the effects were greater and lasted longer.
